Vintage Mother of Pearl Button Earrings, Antique MOP Buttons, Abalone Buttons, Square MOP Buttons, Silver Chain, Silver Ear Wires

Here I've created a pair of dangle drop earrings using two vintage square abalone and mother of pearl buttons on each earring with sterling silver chains in two different lengths. These abalone buttons are inset with a silver grey mother of pearl in an offset asymmetric pattern. The buttons are 1/2" and the earrings are 2 1/4" in length. They are very light and comfortable to wear. The ear wires are angled to echo the square shape of the buttons.

My ear wires are handmade. I carefully construct and smooth them so there are no sharp edges and the wires slide in and out comfortably.

All of the buttons I use are old, some extremely old. Most have been used on clothing, which means they can show signs of wear. I do my best to show these in my photos.
